Tiler Cross, an Assistant Project Manager in the Davis H. Elliot Company’s Central Region, will be competing in the IEC National Apprentice of the Year (AOY) Competition as a representative of IEC of the Bluegrass.
The competition features top graduates from IEC apprenticeship programs from across the country in head-to-head competition during the annual IEC SPARK: Power Tomorrow conference. This year’s IEC Spark is taking place October 5-8, 2022 in Louisville, KY. The competition comprises a written test format, taking place on Wednesday, October 5th, and a hands-on event live at the Expo Center for a large audience on Thursday, October 6th.
“This is my first time competing in something like this,” Cross says, “and I’m excited about the opportunity to meet people from all over who have similar mindsets.”
Cross joined Elliot in August 2018 as an Electrical Helper/Apprentice 1 prior to moving into the role he serves in now. He has been attending and training through IEC of the Bluegrass since late 2018.
